3 New Staff at software developers Beacon Dodsworth
New additions to the Beacon Dodsworth development team deliver even better packages.
Michael Hodgson and Chris Carter joined the Beacon Dodsworth software development team towards the end of 1999. Michael joins fresh from a PHD in chemistry at the University of York. His quick grasp of Prospex has seen him get involved in the Prospex development from day one, including stripping the software to a more basic hot/cold mapper, the soon to be launched Themapex.
Chris was familiar with Beacon Dodsworth before joining the company. Having done a placement at Volkswagen, part of his task was to keep the Capacity model up to date which Beacon Dodsworth have been developing with Volkswagen for the past couple of years. His great understanding of the industry and the component used within the model, saw him as a natural choice for a position with the company. He is still involved in the capacity model, while working on an Automotive version of Prospex.
January 2000 saw Simon Whalley join Beacon Dodsworth’s development team. He is working on projects with POSTAR and on the on-going evolution and support of Prospex. Simon joins us from Yorkshire Water, where he supported the 35 people keeping track of the water infrastructure of the region. He is a graduate of Leeds University, where he obtained an MA in GIS and Plymouth University, where he was awarded a BSc in geography.a
