Mapping software and services

Taking advantage of geographic intelligence needn’t mean high costs or dedicated in-house staff. We are a small, agile company with a proven set of affordable geographic information systems (GIS). We can either give you the software you need for your team or undertake complete digital mapping projects on your behalf. Whatever your area of business, project size, or available budget, we have a solution to suit you.

Heat mapping

Heat mapping, or choropleth mapping as it is sometimes known, is a great way of charting complex data that is immediately understandable and intuitive to the viewer. Many businesses use this form of mapping to plot key aspects of their business data. Our GIS products can easily create these graphical representations of your important business data, or our consultancy can produce these maps for you. The output areas for your map can be set by postcode, administrative geography (typically used by local government), or entirely bespoke areas defined by you.

Point set mapping

A point set map allows you to chart features of interest in an easily understandable format and is a great way of turning table, or attribute data into something more intuitive. These points could be anything you’d like mapped: your best customers, your store or sales network, or even competitors. We can help you to chart points based on postcode, coordinate, or latitude and longitude data. Multiple point sets can be colour coded and have bespoke icons to set them apart, so multiple datasets can be displayed on the same map, for example if you wanted your stores and those of your competitors shown on the same map.

Once plotted, a point set can then be used to mark out territories or catchments based on fixed distance radii or actual on-road travel times or distances (sometimes known as isochrones). Catchments can be calculated to allow overlaps or draw definite borders between areas and our tools will try to most fairly distribute areas based on a criteria you set. We can even use non-location data to help define catchments, such as customer values within an area.

Bespoke maps to suit your brand

All of our geodata solutions give you options to tailor the look and feel of your maps so they are visually appealing and on-brand. You have complete control over the colour pallet used. Heat maps can be tailored so the “temperature scale” is represented by colours you define. Additionally, the icons you use to annotate the map or show point sets are customisable allowing for completely bespoke images. You can also add your own annotation to maps to help give the data context, or to explain important points.
