Promote titles to advertisers, plan deliveries and build circulation with the
New Regional Press module of Prospex GIS

Beacon Dodsworth, the developers of the Prospex mapping and market analysis geographical information system (GIS) are launching a new module of the software specifically for use within the regional press. The module incorporates fully digital street level mapping, including one way streets and address ranges. These allow you to tie any postcoded information from any database to the road network so that it can be mapped and analysed. The module also includes an enhanced version of the Profiler capability.

Circulation managers will find the modules invaluable for identifying where newsagents are situated in relation to delivered copies and which areas are badly served. Combining this with the profiling module will reveal who responds best to which readers offers. They will also be able to optimise delivery routes and plan canvassing schedules.

Marketing managers are able to map circulation areas and readership data and calculate drive times with the software. They can also produce maps and reports using third party data, including DVLA, TGI and lifestyle data to show advertisers what kind of people live in the area, and who reads their papers. Prospex has a tight interface with JIC-in-a-Box, the regional press planning system, enabling users to import and export data with ease.

The system is fully multi-user - so costs can be shared between Circulation and Advertising departments.

The new regional press module of Prospex was launched at the Newspaper Society's Sales Promotion Exhibition SPEX, in Blackpool on 14 & 15 March.
