Can you upload any additional open source layers from national data sets if required?
Yes - you can upload any data based on existing geographies - i.e if you had catchments or data based on Local Authorities these can be imported as a layer. If your geography isn't in MapVision you can let us know and we may be able to upload it as a layer for you.Back to top..
Do maps comes with a copyright notice on them?

Is the cost inclusive of downloads to print?
Any subscription includes unlimited downloads at up to A3 size, and up 300 DPI resolution.Back to top..
Are there any other additional costs to MapVision?

What are the basic layers available?
We offer Ordnance Survey (OS) background maps as well as geographical layers.
Currently available for all users are:
Output Area 2011, Sectors, Districts, Areas, County, Primary Care Trusts, Strategic Health Authority, Government Office Regions, ISBA Region, European Electoral Regions, Local Education Authority, Police Authority, Fire Authority, Ambulance Service, CCG 2018, Ward 2011, Local Authority 2011, LSOA 2011, Parliamentary Constituency 2017.
Can I link MapVision to a file so the map auto-updates when I update the file?
Yes - this is one of the latest bespoke features we’ve been developing and testing. MapVision has the capability to link to a local file, so when you update this, the map will be updated with any added or removed points. Please contact us to discuss this feature.Back to top..
What is the drive time tool?
The drive-time tool is used for driving from a location in all directions for a set time or distance to create catchments. This is available for subscribed users for up to 120 minutes due to loading times, however we may be able to raise this at request but it may affect the speed of the service.Back to top..
Can I export data from MapVision?
Yes - once you have completed analysis, including showing postal sectors reachable in drivetimes, you can export this data as a .csv file.Back to top..

In what format can prints be produced?

How do I share projects and data?
Projects can be shared in two ways:
- Via the URL makes a project accessible to anyone with the link.
- Via a MapVision account: The project is emailed to a user, who must log in to their MapVision account to view.They do not need to be a subscriber, but must have a verified password protected account.
What support or training is offered?
We have live web chat during office hours. There’s a tutorial covering most tasks within the platform and we can support via telephone and remote desktop if required.Back to top..
