MapVision on JICREG
 JICREG asked Beacon Dodsworth to provide a web based mapping system that would simplify and enhance the process of planning a campaign. MapVision fulfilled their brief perfectly.

Web based and simple to use
Being web based is vital to the success of MapVision; this ensures that it is always up to date and can be used on any PC with web access and a compatible browser. The system has tight links to JIC-in-a-Box helping to make it simple to use.
The opening phase of JICREG mapping
The first phase involved providing free maps over the internet of catchments derived from the eight geography types of JICREG, for example ISBA region, single newspaper titles, counties.
Other functionality includes the ability to show and hide roads, change the level of place names shown, and edit and animate the maps in PowerPoint.
This was launched in February 2002 and now produces over 1200 maps per week.
The next phase of JICREG mapping
The next phase took the functionality a step further, allowing user lists to be generated through drive time analysis and subsequently producing maps from the drive time. Any combination of the user's own lists and predefined areas can be mapped, along with bands of circulation penetrations. This next phase of JICREG mapping is available only to JICREG subscribers.
